An awards show host needs to be recognizable, entertaining and focused in order to keep their assigned proceedings funny and on time and to keep the audience from trying to guess where they know the host, rather than paying attention to the actual ceremony.
Comedians make the best breed to fill the post as master of ceremonies, rather than those who think they're comedians or who "play one on TV." This year's grouping of hosting talent includes comedians, writers, writers/comedians and a few dramatic actors. The size and scope of each awards show is different, leading to a slightly unfair comparison in job description; however, I am curious who readers think will make the better host during this awards season.
Take the poll and then leave some comments on why the person, or persons, chosen are the men, or women, for the job.
