I like to give credit where credit is due - no matter what side of the political spectrum said praise lauds. It is especially important in a political climate characterized by increasing partisan ideology without a modicum of bipartisan cooperation in sight.
In these uncertain times - where "fake news" is threatening to become fact - it seems that everyone is drinking the Kool-aid. Therefore, when members of the majority party have enough courage to break ranks with their partisan colleagues, it should be recognized.
The President and his administration are trying to "poke the bear" to see what they can get away with - and it is working. The Washington Post reports that Senator Nunes has threatened to subpoena Trump and his officials to provide evidence of wiretapping (notice the lack of quotes).
If the committee does not receive a response, the committee will ask for this information during the March 20 hearing and may resort to a compulsory process if our questions continue to go unanswered,” Nunes spokesman Jack Langer said.
Senator Graham is pushing the FBI and the Justice Department to provide evidence of FISA warrants that relate to the alleged wiretapping by the Obama administration.
Sen. Graham stated:
If they don't honor this request and give us an answer, then I would say that we need a joint select committee because regular order is not working.
Bravo Senators Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) and Lindsay Graham (R-SC)!

UPDATE: One of these Republicans may be a fellow "emperor." It seems Sen. Nunes may be working with the White House for - as yet - enigmatic circumstances. Stay tuned.
